The device holding the guns in place was replaced with a door with a latch, using brass fittings, of course. All external hardware is brass.

The door and gun rack were lined with leather...

Including the base.

The ammo box was divided into 4 compartments because I like my ammunition available "in bulk," rather than in boxes. Braces were added based on experience with other such boxes. (If one side is full, and the other side is empty, the weight of the full side will break the glue bond.) 4 compartments allow 2 shotgun and 2 cartridge loads, which usually aren't necessary. From left to right: Really Wimpy 12 gauge loads, Hot 12 gauge loads for aerials and Gunsmoke, TX knockdowns, Wimpy .45 Colt loads, hotter .45 Colt loads for recalcitrant knock downs and long range rifle targets. Since nothing will reliably knock down one particular set of Gunsmoke, TX targets, I have given up punishing myself and the gun trying to shoot proof loads.

Note that the rear of the ammo box is now squared off...
