Not only does Cattlecar Airlines not assign seats, not only do they give peanuts for food, they use outdated aircraft and fail to use safe fueling procedures. But, as you can see, The Redhead and I escaped the blaze.

I remembered Disney World as having better roads than this. It seems to have gone downhill since we were there last. The buses seem to have not aged well, either.

Animal abuse was rampant. This poor mule had been forced to undergo an extensive paint job. I hope they at least used skin-friendly paint. I would have expected better of the Disney organization.

I fear the influence of ABC News on Disney was rampant. This was described as a Right Wing Extremist.

Celebrities were in town, such as Senator Daschle

No matter where we went we couldn't get away from the terrifying visage of an oversized rodent apparently placed at intervals around all the parks to terrify children. Sure enough, crying children could be seen at every park. Disney World and K-Mart have one thing in common. People go there and see women beat their children.

NBC had some influence, too.

The great philosopher, Kinky Friedman once said three words are known all over the world, Jesus, Elvis, and Coca-Cola.

If you see a character like this in Epcot, it's a sign that you have achieved the impossible and gotten drunk on $7.50 for 2 ounces of wine from the French wine selling cart. You've probably spent $475. There is no character like this in any of the parades.

We were warned of possible terrorist attacks over the 4th of July weekend. Sure enough, every night they attacked, but their artillery, while spectacular, was largely ineffective. The locals were used to it, though, as they lined up in likely vantage points and cheered when the artillery missed its target. By 0800 the next morning the damage had been repaired and the bodies carted off.

None of the parks was immune to the terrorist attacks. We noted that the local Disney TV, lacking Fox News, didn't cover the attacks.

The "Cinderella" Castle at the Magic Kingdom was a favored target of the terrorists, but they could only manage spectacular near misses while we were there.

The most popular ride was "The Back of Strangers Heads" ride. It was available at every park and had long lines waiting wherever it appeared.

We came to the conclusion that employees were in league with the terrorists and were giving them signals. Note the little finger of Mickey's glove is pointed toward the lagoon in this photo. Sure enough, that night the lagoon was the target despite the flotilla of PT Boats that came out in mid-afternoon to patrol it.

While at MGM-Studios the index finger is pointed at the top of the hat, and that night there were several near misses near the top of the hat (either that, or the photo is not showing his index finger because of a poor angle, in which case, Mickey is giving us all the middle fingered salute. He did again when I saw my American Express bill.)

PHOTO NOTES:

All photos were taken with Nikons, either a F4S, or a 8008S, using Nikon lenses. The night shots used a 50 mm f1.4 lens. The day shots used either a 35-135mm zoom, 75-300 mm zoom, or 20 mm f2.8 wide angle. Film was PhotoWorks 400 speed film. Processing included Photo CDs with jpegs of each shot. jpegs were optimized and sometimes cropped using Photo Deluxe.
